Welcome to LSODance
Cheers to 22 Years!
Join us as we celebrate our 22nd Anniversary Season! We are delighted to have you consider LaShelle's School of Dance for your dance education and artistic enrichment.
A Mission of Movement
LaShelle's School of Dance is committed to providing our members with a high-quality, affordable dance education in a family-friendly atmosphere. We produce well-rounded artists with a technical foundation in an environment that fosters a love of dance and promotes the positive growth of all students on and off the dance floor.
Training for all Ages and Stages
We offer dance training in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, modern, contemporary, lyrical, praise dance and acro for students ages 3 through 83. LaShelle's School of Dance is committed to making your dance experience educational and exciting. Whether you're an advanced dancer, have previous dance training or no dance experience at all, we offer classes at various skill levels from beginning through advanced.
Teachers with Experience
We are certified members of Dance Masters of America, the Cecchetti Council of America and the International Association of Blacks in Dance. Our staff members have years of experience in both professional performance and educational settings across the USA and beyond. Many of them hold fine arts degrees at undergraduate and graduate levels and continue to increase their knowledge base annually through staff development and teacher training opportunities.
LSODance in Detroit & Beyond
The LSODance Company has traveled nationally and internationally training, performing and winning scholarships and competitions at the state, regional and national levels. Previous tour locations include New York, LA, Chicago, Toronto, Las Vegas, Orlando, Hawaii, Dallas, Philadelphia, Denver and more. LSODC has also performed in and around the Metro Detroit Area. You may have seen them perform at America’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, the Detroit Opera House, Music Hall, Hart Plaza, Detroit Institute of Arts or on the court at a Pistons' game just to name a few.
