LSODance is on the Move!
To Our LSODance Family:
It brings us great joy to announce that after 10 wonderful years at our current location, we are moving! We are in the process of buying our own building nearby, and expect to have it up and running by the summer of 2026. In the meantime, classes with all of the LSODance instructors you know and enjoy will continue at our new, remote locations. We will also still have our annual recital in June, so we hope that you will all join us for our 22nd Annual Season! It will definitely be one for the books!
Classes are in Oak Park & Lathrup Village (Southfield Rd.)
While our new building is being prepared, we will conduct our classes at the Oak Park Community Center (1.5mi away) 14300 Oak Park Blvd. Oak Park, MI 48237 as well as the Lathrup Village Community Center(4.5 mi away) 27400 Southfield Rd. Lathrup Village, MI 48076. You can view the schedule and enroll on our home page on this website. Right next to the class listings, you can see where the class is located. If you already have a studio account with us, you can log into your online account and register for classes as usual. If you are new to our program, welcome! You can setup your studio account and enroll for classes online. We will also have staff members in person to assist you on when you arrive for your first day of classes. More Important Details About our New Journey
All Dancers Need an Account in Our LSODance Parent Portal
Whether you are dancing at our Oak Park Location OR at our Lathrup Village location OR BOTH, you need to have an LSODance account active in our Jack Rabbit parent portal to keep track of your studio payments for costumes, dance wear, recital tickets etc. There is also an annual registration fee of $25 for all students who became members after 8/1/14 and are taking classes at our Southfield location only. This will be paid on your studio account.
We will still have a formal June Recital with Costumes and all that jazz ;-)
Dancers at both locations will be invited to participate in our 22nd Annual Dance Recital in June, which will include specific costumes, shoes, accessories etc. as usual. Costume deposits and balances will be paid through our LSODance Jack Rabbit parent portal. The same goes for any dance apparel or shoes you order with LSODance.
Dancers at Oak Park need to Register & Pay in Oak Park's Recreation Portal
If you have signed up for Oak Park classes in our portal, we will send you an email with instructions to also register with the City of Oak Park. Please note:
- Tuition will be paid directly to Oak Park, not to LSOD.
- Oak Park tuition is billed 2 months at a time in 8-week sessions. For example, classes are $49/mo, so $98 is due upfront for September & October. Dancers must sign-up and pay separately for November & December, January & February etc.
- There is no late registration fee however, tuition is not prorated/reduced for late registration. There are no make-up classes offered for absences or late enrollment. It is strongly recommended that students are registered and paid in full by the first date of the class session.
- For non-Oak Park residents there is a $5 charge.The annual $25 registration fee is waived for Oak Park students. However, dance apparel/shoe costs and any fees related to recital costumes and tickets will still be paid in the LSOD Jack Rabbit Parent Portal.

Private Lessons
We will resume private lessons in 2026. Private lessons are not currently being offered.
